As one chapter of Corvette Racing ends and another begins, Mobil 1 and the National Corvette Museum are making the legendary Mobil 1 Oil Drop award available to the public.
Beginning May 9th, the National Corvette Museum’s new CorvetteStore.com will offer a limited edition 2023 Mobil 1 Oil Drop Award. Priced at $3,700 to celebrate 30 years of Mobil 1 being the factory fill oil of choice for Corvette, as well as honoring Corvette’s 70th Anniversary as America’s Sports Car.
The award will be available on the newly reimagined CorvetteStore.com at 10 a.m. (CT) on May 9. This award is exclusively available for purchase on the National Corvette Museum’s Corvette Store website and cannot be purchased in person.
The legacy of Corvette Racing and Mobil 1 is hard to beat. With only 30 of these awards made, the award features oil from the 2023 Mobil 1 C8.R Corvette race car, encased in hand-blown glass drops. On top of the award, two miniature C8 Corvettes are displayed beneath an American Flag. The Corvette models are accompanied by informational plates that list some of the outstanding accomplishments Corvette and Mobil 1 have achieved together.
