Debbie Macomber is a #1 New York Times bestselling author and one of today’s most popular writers with more than 200 million copies of her books in print worldwide. In her novels, Macomber brings to life compelling relationships that embrace family and enduring friendships, uplifting her readers with stories of connection and hope. Macomber may have never written about a Corvette but, “can tell you right now, [she] will in the future!”
Debbie, and her husband Wayne, of Port Orchard, Washington, took delivery of a 2021 Red Mist Corvette Coupe at the Museum on Thursday, March 11th. A long time Corvette aficionado, Wayne recalled seeing a 1958 Corvette at the age of 14, even remembering what the interior and overall design of the car looked like. When asked, Wayne said, “if I ever get the chance to own an old Corvette, it would be a ’58.” With the intention of owning a Corvette someday, the Macombers followed the announcement of the 2020 Stingray and were ultimately, “inspired by the design of the mid-engine” enough to fulfill their wish of owning one.
With this being their first visit to the National Corvette Museum, Debbie and Wayne are excited as, “Wayne loves older cars.” Having owned Chevrolets in the past but not a Corvette, the couple, “feels very blessed” because, “how could you not love Corvettes?” Debbie added, “we thought we weren’t going to be able to do Museum Delivery“, but now that they have, it has been, “a wonderful experience.”
Upon leaving the Museum, the Macombers said they will drive to Florida and then back to Washington, giving them the opportunity to truly experience America’s Sports Car. Wayne added, “We may never get another road trip like this.”
Congratulations to Wayne and Debbie Macomber on your new 2021 Red Mist Corvette Coupe! We hope to see a new book from Debbie soon!
